Last year, the Ad Club of Buffalo went to great lengths to enhance your membership and make levels fit better with the wide range of organizations in our region. Now’s the time to renew with one of the most cost effective and beneficial organizations around.

We surveyed our membership quite a bit heard to better understand your membership’s needs – and have made changes to the Western New York American Advertising Federation’s advertising, marketing, printing and creative professionals and students of the best value you can find.

The Ad Club has again expanded the size of the Board of Directors to add more of your peers focusing on more engaging programming, a fully revamped ADDY Show and more.  We introduced AdLab, a monthly panel discussion on a wide range of topics. Each month has seen larger crowds, and we are introducing season passes in conjunction with the membership based upon your feedback.  We plan to bring the Senior Vice President of Braning for American Express and other speakers to Buffalo, and am kicking off the year with a fun celebrity bartending event featuring agency principles and top marketing executives from the area.  Other events include our annual popular Uberbowl Commercial Review in February along with the usual networking happy hours and student focused programs including Career Day and Portfolio Review. Finally, we plan to introduce the first Advertising Week to Buffalo in October, a weeklong exposure for the industry and those who work within it. The Board is hard at work developing several other events and worthwhile learning opportunities for you and your employees.

One of the most drastic changes last year affected the ADDY Awards. We put every effort we could into invigorating this national award show, which is getting a huge rebrand from the AAF, hoping to put this show on part with the TELLY and CLIO Awards.  We no longer alerted winners ahead of time, saving the suspense of who claimed Gold and Silver awards until the night of, which was a welcomed change. We also introduced a new Client-specifi caward category and may add more. We showed behind-the-scenes video of how the Best in Show voting occurs for full transparency and plan to hold seminars to explain even more how the Show process really works, and across the board changes will make futute ADDY's more exciting and spread the recognition out among more recipients.

Other improvements we will continue this year include no longer offering non-members free entry to events, with a greater disparity between event costs, including some members-only programming.  Non-members will also no longer be able to view our enhanced directory or posted jobs, a perk reserved for offering our members first opportunities at open positions.  We will be working on a discount package, in addition to the national benefits you receive like reduced costs for AdAge and FedEx shipping, offering local reductions.

All of these changes, and many more, include an updated corporate membership structure meant to appeal to organizations of all sizes, offering incentives for more of your employees seeing the value of an Ad Club of Buffalo membership.  We are discounting those individuals who work for a corporate member, but want to still take advantage of all of the benefits the designated employees receive.

All of these benefits for an organization that has kept costs as low as possible, but potentially like your business, have struggled the last few years.  I do not want to sugar coat our situation, the Club is stable but not in an ideal financial situation, and we need your help more than ever.  Now’s the time to invest back in your Club by renewing your membership, increasing the number of corporate memberships you have by joining and participating in all of the diverse offering the Ad Club of Buffalo offers.  We strive to provide programming and benefits for creative individuals, account service professionals, marketing managers, printers, professors, students and more, and are only as good of a Club as what our members put into it.

We will keep the membership cost flat at last year's cost, $100, which continues to allow us to offer you more than ever, while still costing hundreds less than other local organizations. See below for more information on pricing for corporate, student, educator and individual memberships.  Now’s the time to renew and enjoy the benefits of the Ad Club of Buffalo.
